Tern Travel is a tour operator specializing in volunteer-centered trips. Our trips primarily focus on serving local communities and environmental restoration. We partner with Nourishing Nomads, a 501(c)(3), and location-specific organizations to ensure our efforts match the immediate needs of the communities we visit. We strive to create an experience that is not only fun and engaging but ultimately serves a purpose.

Embed yourself into the social landscape as we volunteer with various local organizations, communities, and schools throughout Argentina. Spend your free time exploring the city’s vibrant night life, cafés and markets. Saddle up and ride a horse through the countryside. Relax in peaceful towns in Patagonia. Get up close and personal by hiking a glacier. And if you’re up to it, join us for a long trek taking us to a breathtaking view of Fitz Roy.

This trip is designed to maximize your time in Bali while contributing to the bright future of the island. Our efforts include beach clean-ups, volunteering at local children’s homes and schools, water filtration projects, supply distributions to elderly and disabled, and assisting with a local sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation center – you may just be able to release a baby turtle into the wild! With ample free time built into the itinerary, this trip promises you will leave the island with incredible memories and a feeling of gratitude.

Our trip leaders have everything to make your time with Tern Travel as easy and memorable as possible. We have all the knowledge and inside scoops. During your free time, we’ll work with you to facilitate outside excursions, restaurant recommendations, hiking guides, surf instructors, and so much more. Simply put, you don’t need to spend time researching - we’ve done that for you.
Each day will expose you to the rich culture of the places we visit and present you with an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of the inhabitants and environment.
